Closing ceremony - 150 years
On 23 June 2025, the Nazareth Convent auditorium came alive as the three FMM-run institutions of Ootacamund united to celebrate the closing of their 150th Jubilee year. Graced by General Councillors from Rome, Regional leaders, and Sisters from across India, the event blended prayer, music, dance, and a moving portrayal of Blessed Mother Mary of the Passion’s life. It was a joyous tribute to 150 years of faith, service, tolerance, and respect—renewing the Nazareth family’s mission to form lives, transform society, and glorify God. July 17, 2025 The Sesquicentennial celebrations of Nazareth Convent culminated in a grand finale on 17 July 2025. In a symbolic gesture led by the Grade 10 B students, our Correspondent ceremoniously closed the screen, officially declaring the Jubilee Year concluded. The occasion began with a solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel in the presence of the Sisters of the community and was further enriched with vibrant cultural performances. It marked not only the close of 150 glorious years but also the dawn of a renewed mission for generations to come.
